Depp's sequel blast

Johnny Depp thinks movie sequels are "revolting".

The Hollywood actor, who is preparing for the release of his new swashbuckling sequel 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest', says follow up movies are generally dreadful.

He said: "Normally the idea of doing a sequel is revolting to me."

Depp claims he only agreed to star in 'Dead Man's Chest' - the follow-up to the hugely successful 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl' - because it is a children's film.

He revealed to Britain's OK! magazine: "In this case, it's a family film. Millions of kids are getting a kick out of watching this oddball character. You get caught up in the story."

Depp admits he loves playing his character Jack Sparrow because he can relate to the pirate's craziness.

He explained: "Its one of the best characters I've ever played. It's the perfect extension of my twisted fantasy self."
