Britney steps out and shows off new frame

New mother Britney Spears gave fans a pleasant surprise on Friday when she stepped out and showed off her slimmed-down figure during a dinner date with her husband Kevin Federline.

The "Toxic" singer hadn't previously been seen out in public following the Sept. 14 arrival of her son Sean Preston.

But a month to the day after the boy's birth, Spears and Federline dined at Malibu, California, restaurant Moonshadow, where onlookers marvelled at how quickly the pop beauty shed her baby weight.

Spears' former trainer Bobby Strom says, "She's a pro. She knows what to do (to get back in shape)."
