Madonna bans kids from eating junk food

Madonna has banned her two children from watching TV and eating junk food.

The pop diva admits she's a tough mum and says she insists nine-year-old Lourdes and Rocco, 5, live by strict rules.

The youngsters have to earn their treats, and if they leave clothes on the floor they end up in the bin.

Madonna told Harpers and Queen magazine: "My kids don't watch TV. We have televisions but they're not hooked up to anything but movies. TV is trash. I was raised without it.

We don't have magazines or newspapers in the house either".
She added: "My daughter has a problem picking things up in her room. So if you leave your clothes on the floor, we put them in a bin bag. She has to earn them back by being tidy".

Madonna also revealed she and husband Guy Ritchie have a "good cop, bad cop" system with the children.

The 47-year-old said: "I'm a disciplinarian Guy's the spoiler. When daddy gets home, they're going to get chocolate I'm more practical - I worry about their teeth and make sure they're getting their schoolwork done I'm very scheduled, I make lists"

She also revealed mealtimes are rigidly organised. She said: "It's whole grains and staying off food that's been bio-engineered"
