Britney Spears treated her children to a shopping spree Wednesday. The "Womanizer" singer - who celebrated her 27th birthday with a circus-themed party on Tuesday - took Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, to New York's famous FAO Schwartz toy store, where she splashed out hundreds of dollars on them.

An onlooker said: "Each of the boys had an employee to walk around with, and they each had a huge metal trolley cart to fill up. They picked out hundreds of dollars worth of Mack Trucks, cement mixers and RC cars."

Britney's mother Lynn and father Jamie joined her for the trip, with the singer happily walking around the store with her sons as they picked out their favorite toys.

The source added to America's OK magazine: "Sean really fell in love with a car transporter, which he had taken out of the box so he could hold it everywhere he went. Jayden was most excited about a little blue plane, and cried when someone tried to take it away." More...

Ellen DeGeneres says adverts for children's clothing make her want to have a baby. Ellen, who married her female partner Portia di Rossi in a ceremony in August, is thinking about starting a family after seeing the "cute" models featured in clothing company GAP's new campaign.

She joked: "I see those adverts that have the babies in them for GAP and maybe it's cute that they have a little GAP knit sweater on their head, a little GAP outfit. But they advertise kids very well, those GAP ads. I don't even look at the clothes - I just go, 'That's a cute baby, I'll take that one.'"

Speaking more seriously, Ellen, 50, added that because she and Portia, 35, are a same sex couple they have to carefully consider having a child.

She said: "I think that's one of the things about not being able to just accidentally get pregnant and have a child. You really, really have to want one - whether it's trying to figure out how you get pregnant or if you adopt." More...

Britain's Queen Elizabeth announced 14 new government bills specifically designed to help people cope with the credit crunch in her annual speech Wednesday.

The queen, who wore a crown studded with nearly 3,000 diamonds and an ermine robe as she spoke from a gold throne in the House of Lords, detailed the ways the government are planning to cope with the global economic crisis.

Announcing the government will be introducing a banking bill to help protect people's money - following the Northern Rock crisis earlier this year which saw thousands of people fear for their savings when the bank collapsed - the queen said: "My government's overriding priority is to secure the stability of the British economy during the global economic downturn. My government is committed to helping families and businesses through difficult times. The strength of the financial sector is vital to the future vibrancy of the economy."

Jennifer Aniston "longs" to become a mother. The "Marley and Me" actress - who is currently dating musician John Mayer - is feeling broody and is keen to start a family as soon as possible.

She said: "I feel like becoming a mother is in my future and I'm on the verge of it in some ways - or it's something I long for."

The 39-year-old actress also admitted the constant rumors about her being pregnant irritate her, and she worries no one will be interested when she does conceive.

Kate Moss is reportedly throwing a party to announce she is pregnant. The supermodel - who already has a six-year-old daughter Lila Grace with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack - is said to be planning to reveal her happy news at her Cotswolds country home on December 18.

It is believed she will gather all her close friends and family together to tell them she and partner Jamie Hince are having their first child together.

A source said: "Kate has been on the phone to all her friends and her PA has been on the case to her family. Kate has had a few big nights out recently but she has been behaving more than usual. Even Simon Cowell said she had a bit of a tummy when she went to 'The X Factor' last weekend."

Rihanna and Chris Brown are being sued for $1 million after their bodyguards allegedly attacked a photographer.

Paparazzo Luis Santana claims the pair's security assaulted him and broke his camera after he took pictures proving their much rumored relationship.

Brown's solicitor Kenneth Meiselas denies the singer or his security team were involved in the incident, while "Umbrella" singer Rihanna's spokesman labeled the matter "really unfortunate" and claims it was "completely blown out of proportion."

Jennifer Hudson's brother-in-law has been officially charged with the murder of the actress' mother, brother and nephew.

William Balfour, the estranged husband of Jennifer's sister Julia, was arrested for the October shootings on Monday. He was officially charged on Tuesday with the killings of Darnell Hudson Donerson, Jason Hudson and seven-year-old Julian King.

Balfour's attorney Joshua Kutnick insists his client is innocent, saying: "It is scary as hell, he's charged with terrible crimes that he adamantly contends he's not guilty of."

Jessica Simpson wants to take "a college course in religion." The "Come On Over" singer has been inspired to explore her spiritual side after watching 2006 movie "The Da Vinci Code," which claims Jesus married and fathered a child.

Jessica told Marie Claire magazine: "I've been contemplating taking a college course in religion. I love religion. I remember whenever the book 'The Da Vinci Code' came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I recorded it and then watched eight times."
